At Surrey MOT & Service Centre, we offer three levels of car servicing based on our incredibly competitive set price structure. Our full and major service options provide a comprehensive health check for your vehicle; our technicians check all of the major components of your vehicle. Their experience in the motor industry also means they know to look out for certain known issues with specific makes or models, giving you piece of mind. We will always speak with our customers before carrying out any work that hasn’t been previously approved.
Regular servicing is of paramount importance in order to keep your vehicle running smoothly and efficiently. Maintaining a regular service schedule is also the best way to avoid major problems. Our experienced team is adept at spotting the early warning signs of fatigue, uneven wear or minor leaks. This allows us to alert you to potential issues early before your vehicle suffers a breakdown or mechanical failure.
We pride ourselves on our honesty, the quality of our workmanship and our customer service. We have customers coming back to us year after year, so we must be doing something right! We will never recommend work that isn’t required; but we’ll highlight any areas we feel may need monitoring, even if they don’t require immediate attention.

Interim services consist of an oil and filter change to keep your car running smoothly throughout the year. Most vehicle manufacturers will recommend oil and filter changes every 6,000 miles. Making sure that your engine has regular oil changes reduces wear on all of the major internal parts of the engine itself, such as the pistons and valves. Engine oil is not only designed to lubricate all of the moving parts, but also trap any contaminants that can get into the internals of the engine. Without a regular oil change, these contaminants can build up, eventually causing damage to the core components of the engine itself.
A full service is recommended for your vehicle annually, or around every 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. It consists of an oil change, as described above, along with checks of all the major moving parts of your vehicle. We will check the engine for any oil or water leaks; we’ll check over your suspension and brakes, along with checking all lubricant and fluid levels. We’ll also check the electrics, including testing your batteries health.
Most manufacturers recommend a major service to be conducted every two years, or 24,000 miles. It includes all aspects of a full service, alongside changing of either the spark plugs or fuel filter (depending if your vehicle is petrol or diesel) and changing the pollen filter. All drive belts will be checked and adjusted as required. An exhaustive list of items covered by this service option is contained within our online booking page.
